The short answer

Call MS Home Remodeling at (281) 235-6971, or reach us at 1530 W Sam Houston Pkwy N, Houston, TX 77043, in the Energy Corridor. We serve Houston metro , including Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands, and Richmond. Photos, rough room dimensions, and your house’s approximate age make the first conversation far more productive.

How to reach us

The fastest way is the phone.

  • Phone: (281) 235-6971
  • Address: 1530 W Sam Houston Pkwy N, Houston, TX 77043

We are in the Energy Corridor on the west side, which is a practical detail rather than a marketing one. It means Katy, Memorial, Cinco Ranch, Bellaire, Fulshear, and the west and southwest suburbs are an easy drive for us, and it puts most of the metro within reach.

If you call and we do not pick up, we are on a job site. Leave a message with your name, your number, the city or neighborhood you are in, and one sentence about what you are looking to do. That is enough for us to call back with something useful rather than starting from zero.

We are licensed and insured, with more than 20 years of remodeling experience, and we are 5-star rated on Google across 21+ client reviews. If you want to read what past clients said before you call, that is a reasonable place to start.

What to have ready when you get in touch

You do not need drawings, a finalized plan, or a design. You do not need to know exactly what you want. But a handful of details turn a vague first call into a real conversation.

Useful to have on hand:

  • Photos of the space. Wide shots that show the whole room and how it connects to the rest of the house are more useful than close-ups of the one thing you dislike.
  • Rough dimensions. Even a tape measure and a napkin sketch helps. Length, width, ceiling height.
  • Approximate age of the house. This matters more here than people expect. A 1970s house in Spring Branch and a 2005 house in Cinco Ranch present completely different plumbing, slab, and framing situations.
  • What you want changed, and what stays. Sometimes the shortest version is the clearest: “the tub goes, we want a walk-in shower, the vanity stays where it is.”
  • Whether any walls are coming out, or you think they might be.
  • Whether you are in an HOA or a deed-restricted subdivision, particularly if anything touches the exterior.
  • Any known history. Past flooding, a slab repair, a foundation adjustment, a leak that was patched. None of it disqualifies a project. All of it changes how we plan it.

If you have a budget range in mind, saying so early saves everyone time. It is not a negotiating position. It tells us which version of your project is worth designing.

What happens after you make contact

The first step is a conversation, not a sales appointment.

We talk through what you are trying to accomplish and what condition the house is in. Some of what we ask will sound unrelated to your kitchen — the age of the house, whether doors have started sticking, whether you have seen cracks reappear in the same places. Those questions are how we figure out whether your project is straightforward or whether the slab and the existing plumbing are going to have opinions about it.

If the project is a fit and the location works, the next step is a site visit. Nobody can price Houston remodeling work accurately from photographs. We need to see where the drain lines run, how the floor actually sits, what is above the ceiling, and what the existing electrical service can carry.

From there you get a written scope of work: what is being done, what materials and allowances it includes, and what it excludes. We would rather be specific about exclusions up front than discover a disagreement in week three.

Where we work

We work throughout the Houston metro, out to. That covers a wide range of housing stock, which is part of why we ask about your house’s age early.

Areas we serve include:

  • West and southwest: Katy, Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Richmond, Rosenberg, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Fresno, Brookshire, Waller
  • North and northwest: Cypress, Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe, Montgomery, New Caney
  • Inside the loop and near: Bellaire
  • South and southeast: Pearland, Alvin, League City, Texas City, Kemah, Liberty

The practical difference between these areas is not distance, it is what is under the house. Western suburb stock built after the mid-1980s tends toward post-tension slabs and PVC drain lines. Older inner-Houston neighborhoods often have cast iron drains and galvanized supply that are near or past the end of their service life. Coastal-side communities carry different storm and flood exposure than the north side.

Tell us where you are when you call. It shapes the first questions we ask.

Before you call anyone, including us

A few things worth doing that will make every contractor conversation you have go better, ours included.

Walk the space and write down what actually bothers you, separate from the solution you have in mind. “The kitchen feels dark and there is nowhere to put groceries down” is more useful than “we need to take out that wall.” The wall might be the answer. It might also be a window and a reworked layout at a fraction of the cost.

Check whether you are in a deed-restricted subdivision or under an HOA, and if you are, find out what their architectural review process requires. That is separate from city permitting and can add time to any exterior work. Getting the answer early costs you a phone call. Getting it late costs you weeks.

Take photos now, before demolition, including inside cabinets and under sinks. If anything unexpected shows up later, having a record of the starting condition helps everyone.

And ask any contractor you speak with — again, including us — how they handle it when something is discovered behind a wall that changes the job. In Houston housing stock, that is not a hypothetical. How a company answers that question tells you most of what you need to know about working with them.

Getting an accurate answer takes seeing the house

We will not quote you a price over the phone, and you should be cautious of anyone who does.

Two identical-looking bathrooms can differ by a wide margin in real cost depending on where the existing drain sits, whether the slab is post-tension, whether the supply lines are galvanized, whether the electrical panel has capacity, and whether the wall you want removed is carrying load. None of that is visible in a photograph and none of it is guessable from a square-foot figure.

A number given before any of that is known is not an estimate. It is a hook, and it gets revised upward once the work starts and you are committed. You have probably heard that story from a neighbor.

What we will do on the phone is tell you honestly whether your project is something we do, whether your location works for us, and roughly what the process looks like. Then we come look, and you get a number that reflects your actual house.

Common questions

What is the best way to reach you?

Call (281) 235-6971. We are frequently on job sites, so if we do not answer, leave your name, number, the neighborhood you are in, and a sentence about the project. That gives us enough to call you back with a useful answer instead of starting over. Our address is 1530 W Sam Houston Pkwy N, Houston, TX 77043, in the Energy Corridor.

Do you serve my area?

We work across the Houston metro out to. That includes Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Pearland, Conroe, The Woodlands, League City, Alvin, Texas City, Kemah, Montgomery, New Caney, Waller, Liberty, Fresno, Rosenberg, Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Bellaire, Richmond, Stafford, Spring, Tomball, and Brookshire. If you are near that edge, call and ask.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

No, and we would be guessing if we tried. Real cost depends on where the existing drain sits, whether the slab is post-tension, the condition of the supply lines, panel capacity, and whether a wall is load-bearing. None of that is visible in photos. We will tell you on the phone whether the project is a fit, then look at the house before quoting anything.

What should I send you before we talk?

Wide photos of the whole space, rough dimensions, and the approximate age of the house. Also tell us what stays and what goes, whether any walls might come out, whether you are in an HOA or deed-restricted subdivision, and any history of flooding, leaks, or foundation work. A budget range helps too — it tells us which version of the project to plan.

Do I need to know exactly what I want before I contact you?

No. It helps more to describe the problem than the solution. “This kitchen is dark and there is no counter space near the fridge” gives us something to work with. The fix you have in mind might be right, or there might be a simpler one. Bring the frustration and the constraints; the design conversation comes after. We are licensed and insured if you want documentation first.
